During John's residency he recorded a professional quality CD "Miziki Ni Maisha
(Music is Life) Songs of Spirit and Celebration from Africa" with residents from Knockalisheen.

These recordings were made at an incredibly exciting session at the Miltown Studios, Miltown Malbay, County Clare, Ireland,
Full Moon, May 2002.
The sessions are presented without fancy electronics. If you listen carefully you can hear the microphone knocked as Zinziswa, Bridget and Rethabile danced their way around the studio.

The sessions were recorded live (and hot!).
17 tracks over two days, often on the first take, to cheers and applause from those in the control room.
The energy, passion and spirit is all here.
This is a brilliant collection of songs, mainly traditional but with wonderful addition of some of Guysha's original material.

There are no drum machines or electric guitars. What we have is an abundance of acoustic harmony.

(Languages: English, French, Sotho, Zulu, Lingala, Swahili & Xhosa.)

All proceeds will go towards funding follow up CD's and funding the ongoing music project...
