Then to paint in this beautiful stark countryside, sea and rock, never
straying too far from the studio.
Looking back now, I realise that
my work is an accumulation of my travels.
I seem to have been travelling all my life.
Growing up in Africa, I was surrounded by bleached grass, red earth and
lively striking African Art. I have lived in England, Denmark and Ireland
from which I travelled extensively to Spain, Egypt and Turkey. Studying
and absorbing different skills and techniques, especially Persian lustre
glazes.
Now back in the countryside of Ireland
for the last 10 years, firmly based and rooted and happy to be so.
Enjoying this life with my family, all very creative strong individuals!
Not enough hours in the day...
