Implementation of the per cent for Art Scheme
The availability of funding through the Irish Government's
Percent for Arts Scheme, whereby up to 1% of certain public capital
expenditure projects may be allocated to incorporate an artistic dimension
to work.
This funding cannot be used for other purposes. This
scheme has funded public art works for new roads, bridges and public
buildings such as hospitals and educational institutions.
